I have always had a very emotional connection to food. My most memorable experience was eating at Massimo Bottura's restaurant Osteria Francescana in Verona for our 10 year wedding anniversary - I cried over that meal (happy tears). It was such an overwhelming dining experience in all the best ways and I had never met someone with so much passion for food, it was infectious and I could relate.
As far back as I can remember it has always been about food. My husband calls me "The feeder". I grew up eating in curry houses on the side of the road in Borneo, then after 22 years living in Dubai I quit my job, It was all I knew and loved but I was now a mum with a son who needed me around. I went back to study part time at the International Centre for Culinary Arts & left with a distinction. Oscars journey with SEN then led us to in East Sussex.
During the first lockdown I set up a facebook page & began cooking & delivering meals to people locally, the response was great and soon I was busy cooking and delivering everything from lunches, cakes, afternoon teas, kids party food, film shoot catering & then my first dinner parties and events followed. I simply love cooking (and eating) and anything that involves feeding people feeds my soul. It's how I express love.
